Recent Cases
  • Represents multiple proposed consumer class action antitrust lawsuits against Amazon, including:
  • Frame-Wilson et al. v. Amazon.com, which was the first antitrust lawsuit filed against Amazon based on its policy of prohibiting third-party sellers from lowering the price of their goods on platforms that compete with Amazon;
  • In Re Amazon.com, Inc. eBook Antitrust Litigation, where Hagens Berman was appointed interim lead counsel on behalf of a proposed class action against Amazon and the five largest trade book publishers for conspiring to fix the price of eBooks;
  • De Coster v. Amazon.com, Inc., where Hagens Berman was also appointed interim co-lead counsel, representing a class of Amazon customers, who allege that Amazon’s agreements with its third-party sellers caused them to overpay for their purchases on Amazon Marketplace;
  • Brown v. Amazon.com, Inc., representing a proposed class of consumers, who allege that Amazon colludes with its suppliers to fix prices online; and
  • Floyd v. Amazon.com, Inc., representing a proposed consumer class action, alleging that Amazon and Apple conspired to increase consumer prices through an illegal boycott of Apple product sellers on Amazon Marketplace
  • Represents  proposed class in Dorabiala v. Amazon.com, Inc., alleging that Amazon employs dark patterns to mislead Prime customers seeking to end their subscriptions
  • Extensively involved in several lawsuits against McKesson Corporation relating to allegations that the company engaged in a scheme that raised the prices of more than 400 brand-name prescription drugs. That litigation has resulted in two separate national class-action settlements for $350 million and $82 million. In related litigation, Ms. Mahoney represented the commonwealth of Virginia, and the states of Connecticut, Arizona, Oregon, Utah and Montana in their individual cases against McKesson.
  • Represents proposed class of direct purchasers in multidistrict litigation alleging that generic drug manufacturers engaged in price fixing in In re: Generic Pharmaceuticals Pricing Antitrust Litigation
