Biomet Companies to Pay Over $6 Million to Resolve False Claims Act Whistleblower Allegations
Kickbacks by medical companies to medical providers as inducements to use their products are both unethical and illegal. Such conduct violates the Anti-Kickback Statute and the False Claims Act. It corrupts the practice of medicine and creates danger for patients and consumers.
