Whistleblower second-guessed self, was vindicated

ARCHBALD, Pa. (WTW) — There were moments when William Zwicharowski wondered if he should bend to pressure from superiors at a mortuary at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.

An Archbald native who is branch chief of the base's Port Mortuary, Zwicharowski became a key whistle-blower when he and others exposed problems in the handling of some human remains, including victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, attack on the Pentagon and fallen soldiers.
