Fidelity National - Refinance Policies

Hagens Berman is investigating claims in California and Arizona that Fidelity National Title Insurance consistently overcharged mortgage refinance customers.

Claims suggest that Fidelity failed to disclose to customers that discounted prices applied to those purchasing a refinanced policy within 10 years of the original. These discounted policies save customers hundreds of dollars, something most homeowners are unaware of unless informed by their insurance company.

Both Arizona and California have statutory mandates on title insurance and pricing guidelines for refinanced policies. The recent claims against Fidelity allege those laws were knowingly overlooked in an effort to increase profits.
