Mr. Spiegel is a partner at Hagens Berman where his practice primarily focuses on class actions concerning unfair pricing of pharmaceutical drugs. Recent cases include actions against AstraZeneca and Merck. Mr. Spiegel recently successfully argued Farm Raised Salmon Cases, 42 Cal. 4th 1077 (2008), in which the California Supreme Court unanimously held that claims for violation of California's consumer protection laws are not preempted by federal law.

Mr. Spiegel graduated summa cum laude from St. Olaf College in 1975 and cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1979. Admitted to practice before several federal district and appellate courts, he is a member of the California, Illinois and Washington bars.
