On Feb. 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the largest military attack on a sovereign state to happen in Europe since World War II. In the first week alone, more than one million people fled the devastation in Ukraine. Russia and its leadership have shown absolute disregard to the value of human life and to the truth.
Our firm stands in strong support of the people of Ukraine from the mothers and children who have been forced into displacement as refugees fleeing for their lives, to those who have stayed to bravely fight for their country at the risk of witnessing its very destruction. Ukrainians are right now being forced to endure hardships no human being should ever be made to face. Children should not know the sounds of air raid sirens. Bustling subway stations should never be turned into bunkers.
In response to this crisis and in response to firmwide interest in helping those displaced, we have approved pro bono work for anyone at the firm who wishes to offer legal assistance to refugees or for any other possible legal help.
