Seattle-Based Law Firm Hagens Berman Announces Office Move to Downtown Core

09/19/2018

SEATTLE – Hagens Berman, a prominent Seattle-based national class-action law firm, has moved its flagship office to the heart of downtown Seattle, trading its Denny Triangle location for 1301 Second Ave. at the Russell Investments Center.

The firm, which has called Seattle home for a quarter century, now occupies two floors at its new location, underscoring its focus on collaborative spaces, future growth and employee wellbeing with a private fitness center.  Hagens Berman’s Seattle office has proudly grown with the city since it was founded in the Emerald City in 1993.

“Seattle has been our hometown for 25 years, and we are excited to continue growing along with it as we expand and focus on our future,” said Steve Berman, managing partner and co-founder of Hagens Berman.  “Our new home at the Russell Investments Center plants us squarely in the heart of downtown where we will continue to grow our resources and do what we do best: pioneer novel and impactful applications of the law to help consumers, whistleblowers, investors and others in need.”

While the firm takes on cases of national scale and relevance, Hagens Berman and its lawsuits have been a significant part of Seattle’s past 25 years.  The firm has taken on some of the region’s largest and most formidable opponents, including Boeing, Washington Mutual, the Washington Public Power Supply System and others, securing record-breaking settlements for investors, employees and pension holders, and earning the firm a reputation as “no favorite of corporate America,” as penned by The Spokesman-Review.

Hagens Berman also took on Jack in the Box parent company, Foodmaker Inc., following a 1995 E. coli outbreak in which four children died, 171 consumers were hospitalized and more than 700 consumers – most in Washington – had devastating bacterium symptoms.

The firm’s local personal injury practice has also achieved numerous multimillion-dollar, record-setting settlements for clients including children, the disabled, and elderly and incapacitated individuals.

More recently, Hagens Berman has taken on a role of supporting King County’s lawsuit against Big Oil for the irreparable harm done to the area’s ecosystem and natural resources by climate change attributed to fossil fuel use.

“Our firm has always fought to uncover wrongdoing, hold the powerful accountable and shine a light on the unlawful schemes perpetrated by major corporations,” Berman said.  “We don’t do what we do to make friends; we do it because it’s the right thing to do.”

The firm’s new Seattle location is 1301 Second Ave. Suite 2000, Seattle, WA 98101.
