GM Duramax Lawsuit Continues For Silverado And Sierra Owners
A GM Duramax lawsuit will move forward after a U.S. District judge in Michigan found enough evidence to support claims that more than 700,000 model year 2011-2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500 and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 diesel trucks may have been equipped with devices to cheat emissions tests.
The General Motors class-action lawsuit was filed in 2017 and alleges the Duramax diesel trucks emit illegal levels of nitrogen oxides because General Motors worked with supplier Bosch to install emissions-cheating devices.

Fairfax County Circuit Court Judge Bruce White said after a hearing that he would proceed with a Feb. 26 trial involving a North Carolina man who bought a 2014 diesel Jetta.
Volkswagen said publicity from a Netflix documentary that disclosed the company had jointly sponsored tests that exposed monkeys in 2014 to toxic diesel fumes could prejudice its chances of receiving a fair trial. read more »

Toyota Announces Two Separate Recalls for Sequoia, Tundra Models
The first recall announced by the Japanese automaker affects approximately 8,800 model year 2017 Toyota Tundra vehicles in the U.S. In the involved vehicles with second row seats, Toyota says there is a possibility that one or more of the bolts attaching the left rear seat to the floor may not have been properly fastened. As a result, it could lead to an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash.
The second recall affects approximately 65,000 model year 2018 Sequoia and Tundra vehicles in the U.S. In the affected vehicles, there is a possibility a vehicle diagnostic function may unnecessarily turn off the Vehicle Stability Control System, possibly affecting other systems. If this does occur, owners will see warning lights and a message displayed, along with a warning chime that will sound. Turning off Vehicle Stability Control could increase the risk of a crash. read more »
