DaVita Finalizes Record $389 Million Settlement Over False Claims Act Kickback Charges
The dialysis industry is rife with fraud. This massive settlement with Da Vita, one of the nation’s largest providers, is only the most recent violation of the False Claims Act by the dominant companies in this sector. Fraud in the dialysis industry, an industry which captures a significant share of overall Medicare spending, is countered by whistleblowers who bring this fraud to the Department of Justice.
