New healthcare reform-related audits help prevent fraudulent enrollment
Medicare and Medicaid fraud is ubiquitous in our health care system. The qui tam provision of the False Claims Act is a valuable tool for whistleblowers to use in fighting against this fraud. Those operating Medicare Advantage plans and those private actors now making millions under Medicare Part D need to be carefully monitored for fraud.
