Seattle attorney Steve W. Berman was named as a finalist for the Trial Lawyer of the Year award presented by The Trial Lawyers for Public Justice.

The award recognizes the attorney who has made the most outstanding contribution to the public interest through precedent-setting litigation.

All of the finalists will be honored and the winner announced July 18 at the TLPJ annual gala and awards dinner. The TLPJ cited Berman' work as a lead attorney for a class of Hungarian holocaust survivors and their heirs, where Berman helped secure a $25.5 million dollar settlement fund with the United States government after it failed to return personal artifacts seized just prior to the end of WWII.
