Financial fraud violates the False Claims Act. Qualification for government assistance, whether under the FHA mortgage program or the Small Business Administration, is conditioned upon truthful statements establishing bona fide qualification for the program in question. False statements made to secure SBA assistance violate the False Claims Act.
