Wyoming Medical Center reaches $2.7 million settlement over Medicare fraud allegations

Wyoming Medical Center will pay the federal government $2.7 million to settle a lawsuit alleging the Casper hospital submitted fraudulent claims to Medicare.

Gale Bryden, the former WMC employee who filed the lawsuit under a federal whistleblower statute, will receive an unspecified share of the settlement, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Wyoming, which announced the deal Monday afternoon.
