The latest Time’s Up initiative aims to cure some of what ails the healthcare industry.

Time’s Up Healthcare has launched to tackle sexual harassment and gender inequity in the field. The effort comes about a year after Time’s Up was founded by celebrities in response to the bombshell sex assault allegations against former film producer Harvey Weinstein and other Hollywood heavy hitters.

“While women make up over 80% of the healthcare workforce, the decision makers, including hospital leadership, executives and association presidents, are largely men,” Time’s Up Healthcare states on its site. “We continue to work in environments highly tolerant of sexual harassment. Mario Batali Gives Up All His Restaurants

A year after reports that the celebrity chef sexually assaulted and harassed women, the Bastianich family and Mr. Batali’s other partners have bought out his stake and regrouped.

The 20-year partnership between the celebrity chef Mario Batali and the Bastianich family of restaurateurs was formally dissolved on Wednesday, more than a year after several women accused Mr. Batali of sexual harassment and assault.

Mr. Batali “will no longer profit from the restaurants in any way, shape or form,” said Tanya Bastianich Manuali, who will head day-to-day operations at a new company, as yet unnamed, created to replace the Batali & Bastianich Hospitality Group. read more »

Hotels around the world at the centre of sexual assault allegations are continuing to be promoted on TripAdvisor, despite some complainants contacting the travel company to warn them of alleged attacks by staff members.

Backlash comes after documentary Leaving Neverland details abuse allegations of two men against the singer

Dozens of radio stations around the world have removed Michael Jackson’s music from their playlists after allegations that the late singer abused children aired on Sunday in the documentary Leaving Neverland.

In New Zealand, the public broadcaster and its major commercial rivals – whose listener base covers more than half the population – united in opting not to play Jackson’s hits.

State-owned RNZ said it applied “editorial judgment” to any music it played, and Jackson did not currently feature. MediaWorks, which owns nine major commercial radio stations, confirmed the artist had been pulled from all playlists at all its stations as “a reflection of our audiences and their preferences”. read more »

6 women sexually abused by counselor at women's rehab center Timberline Knolls, prosecutors say

Cook County prosecutors allege that a Timberline Knolls counselor, Mike Jacksa, sexually assaulted or abused six patients last year at the leafy 43-acre rehab center in suburban Lemont. Former patients told police that Jacksa subjected them to rape, forced oral sex, digital penetration and fondling beneath their clothes. He faces 62 felony charges.

The abuse allegations began to surface last summer, but Timberline officials waited at least three weeks to contact law enforcement, police reports show. In the meantime, Timberline staff conducted internal investigations, twice suspending and reinstating Jacksa, police records show. read more »
