Grand jury investigating USC gynecologist accused of sexually abusing hundreds of patients
Los Angeles County prosecutors have convened a grand jury to hear evidence about Dr. George Tyndall, the USC gynecologist accused of sexually abusing hundreds of patients during three decades at a campus health clinic, according to two sources familiar with the case.
In October, USC announced it would pay $215 million to settle a class-action lawsuit filed on behalf of Tyndall's patients, the first in what is expected to be a wave of payouts stemming from case. read more »

On Tuesday, 17 women came forward with claims that they were sexually abused by a Manhattan gynecologist who was convicted of violating patients two years ago.
The women, all but one of whom remained anonymous, filed a lawsuit on Tuesday against hospitals and clinics affiliated with Columbia University, claiming staff were aware of former doctor Robert Hadden's alleged abuse for decades before he was charged in 2014. read more »
USA Gymnastics Bankruptcy May Leave Sex-Abuse Victims Unpaid
The organization filed for Chapter 11 status in the Southern District of Indiana on Wednesday with estimated total assets and liabilities of $50 million to $100 million, according to a court filing.
