Help Desk Technician – Seattle, WA

Hagens Berman seeks to hire a Help Desk Technician to assist in their busy downtown Seattle office. This position requires the ability to work in all aspects of the IT department, but will have primary responsibility for supporting end user technology for the entire firm. This position requires a strong analytical candidate with a thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows infrastructure, and a broad base of end user facing technology. The candidate should have a true passion for technology and the raw intelligence to pick up new technologies. This is a hands-on role in a fast paced environment requiring effective communication and interaction skills. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to all end-users in the office and remote users.
  • Troubleshoot PC hardware, software; Escalate application problems to appropriate vendors while proactively managing Zendesk ticket lifecycles.
  • Install, configure, test and maintain inventory of PC hardware and peripherals
  • Manage machine images and packages so that all machines are standardized
  • Coordinate onboarding and off-boarding of all new/departing employee IT needs
  • Support iPhone and Android Smartphones 
  • Coordinate user training needs
  • Produce end user documentation / screenshot guidebooks
  • Set up technology in conference rooms
  • Assist with other general IT functions and special projects as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must have 3+ years of related IT experience and solid background with Microsoft software and/or MCP Certification
  • Must have the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, conduct oneself with high integrity and a strong attention to detail
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and a positive professional demeanor
  • Required knowledge in Windows 7/10, Office 2010/2013/2016/365, basic Active Directory operations
  • Must be customer service oriented and have the ability to proactively and effectively communicate, work, and contribute in a small team environment
  • Must be willing to work during an occasional weekend or after-hours coverage. Required to carry cell phone.

This position requires high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  Must have the ability to express oneself effectively, both orally and in writing, as well as excellent command of written English. Detail-oriented, with the ability to focus for extended periods of time on repetitive materials. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and Adobe Pro. Thorough knowledge of legal terminology and documentation. Ability to work effectively in teams and independently, with limited direction on complex tasks. Must be able to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines. Strong problem-solving capability. Comfort with systems and process, ability to handle change in a positive manner, and comfort in taking direction and work assignments from peers.

Responsibilities:

  • Using the KI and iManage Document Management System, you will create, prepare, format, revise, proof and print a variety of written or dictated materials, including, but not limited to, all types of legal documents including briefs, pleadings, opinions, other complex litigation and confidential items using Microsoft Office Suite of software.
  • Must be proficient in Excel.
  • Proofread and correct drafts for grammar, punctuation, and spelling, producing error-free work.
  • Experience converting Adobe .pdf documents to Microsoft Word.
    • Miscellaneous other office duties and special projects as assigned and requested.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ legal experience as a legal secretary, legal assistant and/or legal word processor.  Expert knowledge of legal terminology, formatting of legal documents and legal citations.  Must have expert spelling, grammar and proofreading skills.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.  
  • Experience working in Microsoft Office 2016.
  • Experience working in iManage Document Management System is a plus.

Litigation Paralegal - Phoenix, AZ
