Hagens Berman Managing Partner and Co-Founder, Steve W. Berman, Named to Lawdragon Hall of Fame

Steve Berman recognized in 2022 list of “nation’s greatest” for top plaintiffs’ class-action litigation

SEATTLE – Hagens Berman’s co-founder and firm managing partner, Steve Berman, has been named to a list of the “nation’s greatest” attorneys known for their tireless efforts and contributions. Berman was recognized by Lawdragon alongside the 86th U.S. Attorney General, Merrick Garland, and soon-to-retire U.S. Supreme Court Justice, Stephen Breyer.

Lawdragon’s 2022 Hall of Fame is comprised of “corporate litigators, plaintiff powerhouses, innovators who established new areas of law practice and individuals whose dedication to a sometimes precarious legal system are unsurpassed,” and is a shortlist of just 28 new inductees into the legal media company’s Hall of Fame list.

“Steve Berman of Hagens Berman is tops in plaintiffs’ class actions,” the intro reads, “…it’s important to remember the grit and dedication that are our best qualities – and which these professionals embody every day. …You inspire us and so many others.”

Berman’s inclusion into Lawdragon’s Hall of Fame noteworthy career litigators comes on the heels of his unanimous U.S. Supreme Court victory in NCAA v. Alston in which the Justices sided with plaintiffs represented by Steve in the injunctive portion of an antitrust case determining the rights of college athletes to receive scholarship and educational benefits from NCAA member colleges and universities.

In recent news, Steve also led the firm’s efforts to uncover Mercedes’ emissions cheating, securing a $700 million settlement on behalf of those in the US with affected vehicles that polluted at illegally high levels.

Steve continues to lead the firm’s cutting edge efforts in the areas of class-action law, from consumer-rights cases affecting tuition payers, Amazon customers, booksellers and others, to wage theft in the aerospace industry and polluting practices carried out by negligent sugar companies in Florida’s Lake Okeechobee region.
