In September 2016, Hagens Berman filed a class-action lawsuit against Valley Anesthesiology & Pain Consultants due to a security incident in which hackers illegally accessed Valley’s computer systems in June 2016.

According to the lawsuit, Valley failed to take appropriate information security measures to protect its computer systems. The lawsuit claims that Valley’s conduct exposed class members to theft of their sensitive personal and health information.
