Claims Deadline Extended in $202.8M Red Meat Processing Wage-Fixing Class-Action Lawsuit

Class members have until March 26, 2027, to file a claim for settlement benefits

SEATTLE – Class members in a massive wage-fixing class-action lawsuit against major red meat processing companies now have until March 26, 2027, to file a claim and receive a portion of $202.8 million in settlements, according to court-appointed class attorneys at Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll, PLLC; Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP; and Handley Farah & Anderson PLLC.

Class members wishing to file a claim may do so via the settlement website: beefporkwages.com.

The lawsuit was brought on behalf of hundreds of thousands of non-managerial employees at the nation’s largest red meat processing companies which produce roughly 80% of red meat sold in the U.S. Defendant employers include Cargill, JBS, Perdue, Tyson and others.

Updates for Class Members

In addition to the extended claim deadline of March 26, 2027, the final approval hearing has been rescheduled for Nov. 13, 2026, at 9 a.m. The deadline for class members to request exclusion or to object to settlements has been extended to Sept. 29, 2026.

Attorneys representing employees have achieved $202.8 million in total settlements, including the most recent $100,000 with Greater Omaha and an injunctive settlement with Agri Stats putting an end to its behavior that allegedly facilitated wage fixing in the industry.

How Do Class Members Receive Money?

To receive benefits from the settlement, class members may still request to participate if they did not receive notice by email or postcard. Without taking any action, those who are eligible will automatically be part of the lawsuit. Those with questions about their claim may contact the settlement administrator.

For more information and to file a claim, visit the settlement website, beefporkwages.com. Class members may verify their eligibility by employer, facility and location. Claimants may also update personal information and review key dates and court documents for additional information.
