ABOUT THE APPLE IPHONE XR CONNECTIVITY AND SIGNAL FAILURE

Recently, Apple iPhone XR owners have reported widespread issues with their smartphones pertaining to the iPhone's ability to maintain signal connectivity. Owners say calls drop, conversations become difficult to hear, and they fail to get or lose data connectivity. These problems affect their ability to send and receive calls, texts and data.

One user in Apple's message boards posted, "My first XR had issues with connectivity. Apple replaced the phone. I have had the new XR for 11 days and it also has connectivity issues. My carrier is replacing my Xr with an X. The carrier told me the XS and XR have serious connectivity issues."

News reports state that iPhone XR users struggle to get a reliable 4G Internet connection, making apps such as Facebook and Instagram redundant unless there is Wi-Fi. The issue may pertain to a hardware, including the phone's built-in antenna and modem.

APPLE ADMITS TO CONNECTIVITY PROBLEMS IN THE UK

In January 2020, Apple admitted that its iPhone XR phones were experiencing rampant connectivity issues in the United Kingdom on at least the O2 network, stating, "We're working closely with our partners to resolve an intermittent issue affecting some of our customers using iPhone XR."

Hagens Berman is aware of the issue in the United States as well, and seeks to represent affected owners of Apple's iPhone XR to recoup losses experienced due to the issue Apple is failing to adequately address.

YOUR CONSUMER RIGHTS

We believe that Apple owes it to the purchasers of its premium, high-end smartphones to ensure that they function as expected and as Apple promised. Apple has long touted the reliability of its products, yet has failed to aid its customers who are experiencing connectivity issues in its iPhone XR.
